Important Legal Notice
It is illegal to purchase or attempt to purchase age-restricted products on behalf of someone under the legal age. Grabbi operates a strict Challenge 25 policy across all stores and delivery operations.
1. Age-Restricted Products
The following products require age verification and are only available to customers aged 18 or over:
2. Challenge 25 Policy
Grabbi operates a Challenge 25 policy. This means:
- If our driver believes you may be under 25 years old, they will ask for valid photo ID
- This applies regardless of whether you look over 18
- The Challenge 25 policy protects both our customers and our licence to sell age-restricted products
- Our drivers are trained to apply this policy consistently and without discrimination
3. Accepted ID
We do not accept: birth certificates, bank cards, student cards without PASS hologram, or digital copies of ID on a phone screen.
4. Online Age Declaration
By placing an order containing age-restricted products, you declare that:
- You are aged 18 or over
- You are ordering for your own personal use
- You are not purchasing on behalf of anyone under the legal age
- You will be present at the delivery address to receive the order and provide ID if requested
5. Refusal of Sale
Our drivers have the right and duty to refuse delivery of age-restricted products where:
- The customer cannot provide valid ID when challenged
- The driver reasonably believes the customer is under 18
- There are grounds to believe the products are being purchased for a minor
- The customer appears intoxicated to the point of incapacity
Age-restricted items refused at delivery will be returned to store. A refund will be issued for those items. The delivery fee will not be refunded.
6. Proxy Purchasing
It is a criminal offence under the Licensing Act 2003 to purchase or attempt to purchase alcohol on behalf of someone under 18 (proxy purchasing). Similar provisions apply to tobacco and vaping products under the Children and Young Persons Acts. Grabbi will report suspected proxy purchasing to the relevant authorities.
7. Licence Compliance
Grabbi operates under the appropriate retail licences for the sale of alcohol and age-restricted products. Our staff and drivers receive regular training on responsible retailing. We take our licensing obligations seriously and operate in full compliance with the Licensing Act 2003 and associated legislation.
