Grabbi is building the UK's first truly conscious quick commerce franchise network. These terms outline the key principles that govern our franchise relationships. Full franchise agreements are provided during the application process.
1. The Grabbi Franchise Model
Grabbi Limited ("Franchisor") grants franchise partners ("Franchisee") the right to operate a Grabbi store within a defined exclusive territory, using the Grabbi brand, technology platform, supply chain, and operational playbook.
Each franchise partner receives the complete Grabbi operating system — not just a brand licence. This includes the full technology stack, supplier relationships, training programme, and ongoing support.
2. Exclusive Territory
Each franchise is granted an exclusive territory with a minimum protected radius of 8 miles from the store location, subject to population density assessments.
No new Grabbi franchise will be opened within the protected territory of an existing franchisee without written consent.
Territory boundaries are defined in the individual Franchise Agreement and may be reviewed upon renewal.
3. What Franchise Partners Receive
4. Franchisee Obligations
- Operate the store in full compliance with the Grabbi brand standards and operational playbook
- Maintain all required licences including retail licence, alcohol licence (where applicable), and food business registration
- Employ staff directly — no gig economy workers for delivery operations
- Use only Grabbi-approved suppliers for products sold under the Grabbi brand
- Maintain the electric delivery fleet and zero plastic policy
- Use the Grabbi technology platform exclusively for the franchise operation
- Participate in national promotions and pricing guidelines
- Submit to regular brand and operational audits
- Pay the agreed franchise fee and royalty on schedule
5. Financial Terms
Full financial terms including the initial franchise fee, ongoing royalty percentage, marketing contribution, and technology fee are provided in the Franchise Information Memorandum available upon application. These terms are commercially confidential.
Indicative investment levels and projected returns are included in our Franchise Prospectus, available at grabbi.uk/grabbi-prospectus.
6. Term and Renewal
The standard franchise agreement term is 5 years with an option to renew for a further 5 years subject to performance standards being met. Renewal terms will be on the then-current standard franchise agreement terms.
7. Brand Standards
All Grabbi franchise locations must maintain the following non-negotiable brand standards:
- Zero plastic policy — cloth and jute bags only, bamboo packaging for butcher products
- Electric bike or cargo bike delivery fleet
- Challenge 25 age verification policy
- Premium in-house butcher (where applicable to store size)
- Grabbi brand colours, signage, and store design specifications
- Real team photos and local community presence
8. Termination
Grabbi reserves the right to terminate a franchise agreement in cases of serious brand standard violations, persistent non-payment, criminal activity, or bringing the Grabbi brand into disrepute. Full termination provisions are set out in the Franchise Agreement.
9. Governing Law
Franchise agreements are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The British Franchise Association (BFA) Code of Ethics is incorporated by reference into all Grabbi franchise agreements.
